ABOUT ME:

I am a professionally qualified counsellor with a Post Graduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling from Strathclyde University and a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills.

My life experiences have been diverse and challenging, both personally and professionally.

While working in the voluntary sector and in the GP setting I have gained experience counselling accross a wide range of issues. More recently much of my time has been spent supporting adult survivors of rape and sexual abuse.

I am a Registered Associate of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and as such I work within its Ethical Framework for Good Practice and I am professionally insured. I am also a member of Person Centred Therapy (PCT) Scotland.

I understand that coming to counselling can take a lot of courage and that the thought of the first session can be quite daunting. Iwill make this process as easy as possible for you.

Counselling sessions normally last 50 minutes and are conducted in the strictest confidence within the limits of a mutually agreed verbal contract.

If you would like to find out more about what person centred counselling can offer you, please contact me in complete confidence.
